Ode to the Snow Blower

Ode to the Snow Blower

Snowblower, snowblower, how I cherish you so
You help me to get through a driveway full of snow

Coming from Texas I had not used one much (or at all)
But now that I'm up here it seems I have the touch!

At first I was daunted by the great task at hand
And it did take me longer than I had first planned

Cars and walkers just passed on by
Nevermind them! I made it work, just me, myself and I

Over an hour later I was tired and hot
But I did feel like I had accomplished a lot

The thought that I keep pondering now
Is did I say I would snow blow in my wedding vow?

The End.

Can you guess what I did early this a.m.? After this weekend's storm, we have probably about 2 feet of snow piled up in the yard - and the piles that you see at the end of the driveway are almost as tall as I am! Zac had duty yesterday, so I was on my own to get out of the garage and to work this morning. Luckily, I didn't get stuck backing out, and made it to work (late) with no problems. Everyone at the office keeps telling me that I brought all of the snow this year - especially since it's not technically even WINTER yet! But we are very lucky to have rented a house that has it's own snow blower!

Zac and I have been preparing for the holidays - parties, shopping, Christmas cards, movies, fires, hot chocolate and cider - but we still haven't been cleared to leave NH yet, so all of our travel plans are still up in the air. We want to come home for Christmas and/or New Years!!! :(

My household goods still have not arrived - but are *supposed* to be here by the 19th - which would be a GREAT Christmas present to us. It will just be really interesting to see how things are moved in with all of the SNOW!

Happy holidays...and more posts coming soon!
